Since 1926 Marshfield Fire has been serving your community....
Marshfield Fire is located approximately 22 miles east of Springfield, Missouri in the rolling hills of the Ozarks. In the 50’s the Fire Protection District had it’s beginnings in the Rural Fire Protective Association and became the Fire Protection District in 2006. The Marshfield Fire Department and Fire Protection District worked together as a single organization, although they had separate budgets and equipment belonged to each entity. In 2020 the Marshfield Fire Department was incorporated into the Fire Protection District and now both operate under the one entity. The department is all volunteer with the exception of the Chief's position and a Maintenance Position.
The Fire Protection District is funded by a tax base and provides services such as fire suppression, rescue, haz-mat, fire prevention, public education, and non-transport emergency medical services. The department also has an active auxiliary unit that provides needed support services and volunteers within the admin section of the organization.
The department also sponsors a nationally accredited cadet program for members between the ages of 14-18.
We are always looking for new members who want to serve their community through volunteering. Volunteer positions can range from fire suppression, EMS services, auxiliary services, the cadet program, and administrative support. We thank you for visiting us and hope to see you again.
